An introduction

Not long ago I asked myself a really simple question: what do I really love to do?

My honest answer without any agenda was I love decluttering and organizing. I really could spend every day making the spaces in my home better serve it's inhabitants (which consists of two people and three cats), by getting rid of unnecessary clutter and finding creative ways to make the most of what we need. I decided to share what comes second nature to me, cleaning, organizing, closet specific tips, and found that lots of people felt in need of some guidance. I quickly realized that I've inadvertently been preparing to help people manage their wardrobes for years. I'm the one friends and family turn to for help organizing, or receive texts of clothing at the store with "what do you think?" knowing I'm going to give an honest answer. Internet followers ask for advice in determining quality, and want to know they're not alone in their shifts from vintage to modern.

My background is in vintage fashion, beginning my internet presence with a blog in 2008. Since that time I went through a major style shift that began a few years before 2020, and has been a rollercoaster that I finally feel I can step off of. My once sizeable wardrobe has transformed into something almost skeletal, a state I never would have imagined, and I've embraced the way clothing reflects lifestyle in that they both are constantly evolving. In the past few years most of us have gone through such significant lifestyle changes in a very sudden way, and spaces, especially our wardrobes, might still be stuck in the past. Or maybe even stagnating in a limbo of acquiring something for a future that keeps fading. While making a dramatic wardrobe purge isn't for everyone, I hope I can guide those who want to make that change, and to help those who don't feel that path to manage their closets.

General tips and suggestions will be available on Instagram, with more in depth posts here, and personal consultations available for one on one guidance. Each and every person, lifestyle, taste, and closet space is different, and I hope to provide realistic solutions that will help your wardrobe serve you best.
